I was attending community college and getting ready for my classes, when I got a phone call to turn on the TV and that I would probably not be going to school today.  I cant remember who called me (either my mom or step-dad at the time)  but I tuned into the second plane crashing into The World Trade Center. It was surreal and devastating.

I was living only 30 mins from NYC at the time and seeing as I am a native New Yorker (the state, not the city), it really hit close to home for me.
