Chapter 25

Dear Noah,

You celebrated your 25th month yesterday by peeing in your potty for the first time.  Mommy, Daddy, Grandma and Grandpappy are so proud of you!  I was looking at you the other day and you are looking more and more grown up as the days go by.  You had on your jeans, sneakers and T-shirt and I can almost imagine you running in the school yard when you are 10 and what you are going to look like.  

This month has been one of great accomplishments for you beginning with getting rid if your binkie and just using it when you sleep. It was something I was very nervous to do because you were very VERY attached to that thing, but you have done wonderful.  And now, you even put it in your binkie box without us asking you to do so in the morning.....well, for the most part.  And going to the potty is your second accomplishment.  While I think we may be a while off from full potty training, you are well on your way.  We have even set up a potty chart for you so that everytime you tell us you went to the bathroom in your diaper, you get a sticker....and its works great.

Your teachers at school tell us on a daily basis how well you are doing and excelling.  They  even  refer to as their "challenge" because they show you something once and you get it right away.  So they have to stay on their toes with you and are constantly showing you new and exciting things.  This month you also transitioned to the "big kids" side in your classroom and are now with the 2-3 year olds.  Luckily your old room is separated by a short bookshelf and you get to see your favorite teacher and friends on the other side all day long, but you are still with your buddy Isabella who has been with you from your first move from the infant to toddler room.  Mommy and Daddy got some nice news from your teachers as well, that you are one of the only kids that have a nutritious lunch everyday.  That made us feel very happy that we are sending you with healthy choices.  Since we have become your parents, 25 months ago, there isn't a day that goes by that we don't question ourselves and if we are making the right descions for you, so to hear that your lunches are very healthy makes us know we really are doing a good job.

Your daddy got hurt at work this month so he has been home everyday, and although he has an injury, it has been great watching the 2 of you bond over the past few weeks.  He works a wacky schedule so our family time before was limited, but know he is home everynight and EVERY weekend.  The minute you wake up you ask for him and then rush in to "wake daddy"......it is adorable the bond that you 2 have developed.

I cant wait to come home and see your happy smiling face.
